    At River of Life Church, we believe that raising children in the love and knowledge of God is one of the most important responsibilities parents can embrace. While the term “Baby Dedication” is common, we prefer to call this ceremony “Parental Dedication” because it truly reflects the heart of the occasion.

    Parental Dedication is a time for parents to publicly commit to raising their children according to God’s Word, asking for His guidance, protection, and blessing over their family. It’s also an opportunity for our church family to come alongside you in prayer, support, and encouragement.

    Why Dedicate Your Child?

    Scripture consistently calls parents to teach their children to love and follow God:

    • Deuteronomy 6:4–9 – Moses says, “Impress them on your children.”
    • Proverbs – Filled with wisdom and instruction from fathers to their children.
    • Ephesians 6:4 – Paul urges, “Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

    Through Parental Dedication, you publicly declare your commitment to guide your child spiritually, emotionally, and relationally, trusting God to lead both you and your child on this journey.
